Vienna Praxis is a boutique therapy practice with state-of-the-art offices in the West Village and Flatiron neighborhoods of New York City. We have a strong team of PhD-level therapists with several years of clinical experience helping clients with their mental health in selective private and public settings.

You are a New Yorker, and you want to be in treatment with someone who genuinely understands the professional and personal demands faced by people who live and work in this city. We know what it can be like. Before earning our doctoral degrees in clinical psychology, we all had careers in other professional fields, gaining life and work experience in law, classical music, acting, writing or teaching. This allows our pyschologists to tailor their treatment approach to meet you exactly where you are.

When you first come to us, we will identify your unique clinical needs and clarify administrative questions like fees and insurance reimbursement. Here is a step-by-step guide for starting your therapy experience at Vienna Praxis:

  2. You will receive a callback or email (depending on your preference) from one of our therapists to schedule a free phone consultation. 

  3. At this initial consultation, we will go over your particular clinical needs and will answer any related questions you might have. Based on your personal preferences, specific treatment goals and mutual availability, we will ensure the best therapeutic match for you.   

  4. Our clinical care coordinator will reach out to you separately to help determine insurance coverage and the reimbursement package of your out-of-network plan.  If insurance coverage is not available, sliding scale fee options will be offered and discussed.

These preliminary steps ensure that you will be working with a therapist of your choice and that treatment costs and insurance reimbursement have been clarified before you start therapy.
