Benefits of Human to Human Therapy

When working with our innermost feelings - some of which might have never been accessed before - we can feel very raw and vulnerable. In this emotional state we are transported back to an earlier developmental state where we long for comfort and containment.  The therapist is not only a professional expert who offers clinical advice but also another human in a shared safe space. Holding each other's gaze, vocal intonation, gestures, facial expressions and shifting bodily positions are all much more intensely experienced in human to human therapeutic work.
