Dr. Noia Efrat

I am an integrative and psychodynamically oriented clinical psychologist working with adults, emerging adults, couples and families. My training experiences include work with culturally diverse populations within both public and private settings across New York City.

My approach aims to foster a collaborative and responsive therapeutic environment informed by the specific needs and goals of each of my clients. I hold that exploring our motivations, inner conflicts and personal histories in a safe context can mobilize greater self-awareness, flexibility, and changes to problematic or painful modes of relating to ourselves and to others. I take a strengths-based approach and work to scaffold and reinforce the inner resources that each client brings with them.

My clinical experience includes working with anxiety, OCD, depression, somatic disorders, trauma, interpersonal difficulties, and life transitions including grief, illness, parenthood, marital conflict, and emerging adulthood. I also specialize in work around reproductive, perinatal, and postpartum mental health, as well as dyadic, Parent-Child Therapy and Emotionally-Focused Therapy with couples. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at The City College of New York. I offer therapy in English, French and Hebrew.
