Dr. David Gottlieb
I use an empathic and collaborative approach to help my patients get through difficult times. I actively create a safe space for patients to feel comfortable and speak openly about their problems. I am highly attuned to the needs of the individual person and encourage gentle exploration of current behaviors and thoughts that seem self critical and self defeating.
I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Pace University, New York City, and have been working in a variety of clinical settings, conducting research and pursuing ongoing psychoanalytic training at NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis.
I specialize in all forms of anxiety disorders and depression and offer both individual and couples therapy.
In addition to my clinical expertise I offer a specialization in working with Orthodox Jews and the particular challenges of being religious while navigating the contemporary world.
